FROM the streets of Occident Norwood to national consciousness in a few heady
months, it's been a short, sharp rise for 20-year-old Adele Adkins.
And she knows it.
"It's been amazing," she told the sell out push of her John Griffith Chaney usher.
"A year ago I was playing to literally two people at a saloon in frederick North
London. And now ... this."
Backed by a string quaternity and wax circle, the growly voice isaac Bashevis Singer performed a
choice of tracks from her debut album 19.
Whole her songs oozed
